Conference Struggles Continue

The Dakota College at Bottineau men's basketball team welcomed Williston State College to the Woodshed on January 15th. The Jacks hung tough with the Tetons for most of the 1st half, before an end of the half run gave WSC a 16 point lead at 46-30. The Jacks led for parts of the first half, but were not able to match the Tetons bucket for bucket.

The Tetons would come out in the second half and would use a mini run of 7-0 to push the lead to 23 with just over 18:00 to go. They would proceed to push the lead higher as the half went on before the final tally of 102-63 was reached. Leading the way for the Jacks was Gilbert Carter and Jalyn Turner scoring 16 each, Carter added 2 steals as well. Louis Williams scored 10 as the only other double digit scorer. For the game DCB struggled from the field hitting only 31% of their shots, including 16% from three. They were also outrebounded 53-33 for the game.

The Jacks fell to 14-5 on the year, and 0-3 in Mon-Dak play. They are back in action on Monday, January 19 when they travel to Glendive, MT to face Dawson CC.
